Fairmont The Palm

About the project

Aptly named after its site, the iconic Palm Jumeirah, Fairmont The Palm Hotel and Residence is a flagship resort for global luxury hotel company, Fairmont Hotels & Resorts. Opened in late 2012, the hotel features 381 guestrooms and suites and hosts luxurious amenities. The hotel is flanked by two residential towers - built by DCC - consisting of 558 deluxe apartments, townhouses and penthouses.

Unlike the typical vertical hotels found all around Dubai, Fairmont The Palm is horizontal, with a wide footprint stretched along the shoreline and a moderate 17-storey height. Though one single building, mechanically it is designed as if it was four different ones, with four fire safety systems (fire escape plans, smoke obstruction systems, etc.) and four separate mechanical systems.
